Staycation Spotlight: JW Marriott Desert Ridge

Best of Phoenix

One of Arizona’s best luxury resorts is also the largest! The JW Marriott Desert Ridge offers all the amenities for an amazing staycation including 4 acres of swimming pools, 2 golf courses, a spa, fine dining, signature cocktails, entertainment and much more. Now is the perfect time to take advantage of the resorts Fling & Swing package starting at $149!

I had a fabulous staycation at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge last weekend. The 316 acre resort had everything I needed for a weekend full of fun, luxury and relaxation – I never needed to leave the property.

From the moment I walked into the resort, I was captivated by the grandness and the element rich environment. The best way to describe my experience is to show you through photos:

Every corner of the resort has somewhere to lounge, interact or relax. The elements of fire, water, sky and earth are present in all areas.

Turquoise water fills the 4 acres of swimming pools and each pool has its own unique vibe. I loved that the main pool had a DJ on Saturday and a live band on Sunday.

The five-pool area at JW Marriott Desert Ridge has been voted “No. 1 Pool” in the Valley by Phoenix Magazine featuring a meandering 1,600-linear-foot lazy river with underwater jets. I enjoyed a cocktail while enjoying a cool and relaxing ride.

The views throughout the resort are breathtaking, especially during sunset.

The Griffin Club is amazing! For only $65 a day, you can access unlimited food and drinks from 6:30am to 11pm including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. There is also a hosted bar featuring beer, wine and spirits from 4pm to 11pm. The food is delicious and there is outdoor seating with amazing views. Bonus – you also get a daily Revive Spa membership with the Griffin Club.

In addition to the Griffin Club, the resort features several distinct dinging experiences including, the Meritage Steakhouse at Wildfire Golf Club, Roy’s Hawaiian fusion cuisine, stonegrill all-day dining, Just a Splash Pool Bar & Grill, twenty6 lounge, Starbuck, the Spa Bistro and 24-hour in-room dining.

The rooms are awesome too! I stayed in a spacious One Bedroom Executive Suite that had a separate lounge/tv area, a desk, a patio with an amazing view and a very comfy bed.

I’ve only touched the surface of all the amazing aspects and amenities of the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. I would recommend a staycation at this resort to anyone (couples, friends and families) as there are unique areas and activities for everyone. Don’t miss out on the Fling & Swing package going on right now.
